Registry Study
A registry study is a retrospective investigation in which clinical data on diagnosis and treatment can be collected from a population fully documented in a registry within a defined indication (e.g., all heart attack patients in a hospital network from 2000 to 2005). Registry studies help address specific research questions or hypotheses. The subjects of research using registry studies may include: drugs, medical devices, patient groups, and disease progression.
