In Oldenburg, we are looking for participants for readability tests of medical package inserts

45 minutes of your time, with compensation

At our location at Damm 37 in Oldenburg, we test pharmaceutical patient information leaflets (“package inserts”) for clarity and ease of understanding. Using a scientifically validated interview method, we survey people from all age groups and professions. This so-called readability test takes about 45 minutes. We pay 20.00 EUR for participation in such an interview.

As a test participant (test reader), you’ll spend a few minutes familiarizing yourself with the structure of the package insert being tested and will then be asked about 15 questions that you’ll need to answer using the package insert. We’re particularly interested in the questions you can’t answer—or can’t answer right away—because if problems arise, that’s an indication that the package insert needs to be improved.
We are specifically looking for people with a primary or middle school diploma who work in skilled trades, technical fields, or social services. Each readability test must include participants from various occupational groups, age groups, and educational backgrounds. That is why we need this information from all test readers. Beate Beime Pharma Consulting collects personal data exclusively for the stated purpose. It is stored only internally and only for as long as necessary to comply with legal requirements. Beate Beime Pharma Consulting does not share personal data with third parties.

 A few notes before we begin:

  • Due to regulatory requirements, you may only take a readability test once every 12 months.

  • The fee will be paid in cash.

  • Participants between the ages of 16 and 18 must provide an informal consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian.
